Time server

A time server synchronises with clocks found in satellites orbiting the planet, which are accurate to approximately one millionth of a second to UTC. Each networked system can then synchronise with the Galleon device as often as is deemed necessary. This all happens behind the firewall, which means there's no need to access Internet-based time. The time server is needed to acquire time so that this time can then be synchronised on an IT system. The vast majority of time servers available on the market today are NTP (Network Time Protocol) network time servers.
