Server Time
Galleon's Server Time works by synchronising with the clocks that are located in satellites, in spacewhich are accurate to approximately one millionth of a second to UTC. Each networked PC can then synchronise with the Galleon device asoften as it is programmed to. This all happens behind the firewall, which means there's no need to access Internet-based time.
The role of time servers is to acquire time so that this time can be synchronised on an IT system or enterprise. The vast majority of time servers available on the market today are NTP (Network Time Protocol)network time servers.
