NTP - accurate time source for computer synchronisation
NTP is widely used to synchronise the time on computers on the internet. NTP provides the ability to access time services, organise the time synchronisation of the subnet and adjust the local clock on each participating computer connected to that subnet. Typically NTP provides accuracies of between 1 and 50 milliseconds depending on the time source and network paths avaliable. NTPcan be utilised to synchronise the time on computers across a network also.

A time server is utilised to obtain the correct time from a time source and adjust the local time on each participating computer. With Galleon, NTP (Network Time Protocol) traffic is kept within the firewall, minimizing security risks to your network from outside threats. By having the time server automating the setting of accurate, synchronised time for all of your network system components, Galleon can save you time and money and also offer reliability and certainty
